Slano Film Days Participants Among the Winners of the AFA Awards
At the inaugural AFA Awards (Adriatic Film & TV Awards), held on October 25 in Porto Montenegro in Tivat, the region’s best achievements in film and television were honored. The AFA Awards were presented in 10 categories, and among the winners were participants of Slano Film Days.
Montenegrin actress Lidija Kordić, a participant of Slano Film Days 2024, won the AFA Rising Star Award for her role in WORKING CLASS GOES TO HELL. Serbian director Vladimir Tagić, also a participant of Slano Film Days 2024, is the co-creator of the award-winning TV series OPERATION SABRE, which received AFA Awards for Best TV Series (Vladimir Tagić and Goran Stanković), Best Leading Actress in a TV Series (Milica Gojković), and Best Leading Actor in a TV Series (Dragan Mićanović).

The AFA award winners were selected by a professional jury consisting of more than 550 members of the Adriatic Region Film and TV Academy, which is currently being established with the aim of bringing together professionals from across the region and various fields of the film industry. The Adriatic Region Film and TV Academy is being founded by members of the Network of Festivals in the Adriatic Region: the Sarajevo Film Festival, the Belgrade Auteur Film Festival, and the Zagreb Film Festival.
The AFA Awards are established with the goal of increasing the visibility of regional films and TV series and improving their international reach.
