Slano Film Days 2024 Closes

The Slano Film Days 2024 closed on Saturday the 22nd. Over the course of five days, young filmmakers, participants of the Slano Film Days 2024, enhanced their professional knowledge, in an open and friendly atmosphere, free from competitive pressure, by engaging in open discussions about the creative process of filmmaking with some of the most prominent figures in the world of film art and the film industry. Renowned filmmakers emphasized that they felt inspired and rejuvenated by the energy of the young talented filmmakers who are the future of global cinema.

Slano Film Days are a unique experience. This is a community of filmmakers and actors from different cultural backgrounds and generations who come together to share different approaches to their creative impulses. All differences are erased in the common goal of acquiring knowledge and creating films.
— Alfonso Cuarón
I have met so many young, talented and creative filmmakers that it is a real refreshment for me, and it is a great pleasure to be part of this project.
— Paweł Pawlikowski
The atmosphere at Slano Film Days is simply amazing. Here you meet each other in a very casual way, and the conversations continue long after the program, sometimes with a young film student, sometimes with an Oscar-winning director.
— Ruben Östlund
This is already the third time I have participated in this creative hub. Very rarely do you get the chance to explore the ideas and methods of other filmmakers as deeply as here, and the close interaction with other filmmakers is relaxed and enjoyable.
— Juho Kuosmanen
I think that such events in the world of film are a necessity. Considering everything that is happening in the world, I don’t see a better way than to create an environment for the young generation of filmmakers who will study with the “great masters of cinema”, and who in turn will be energized by them.
— Elia Suleiman
Dear people, passionate filmmakers gathered to talk about their dreams, fears, struggles and small achievements in the friendly and beautiful environment of Slano.
— Blerta Basholli
I felt like a part of a community where experiences are shared. This is a “small” festival, but small in the best possible way. At most “big” festivals you get lost and don’t feel important. This is not the case here and it is very important that it remains so.
— Vladimir Tagić
I enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere with inspiring people. These kinds of events are much needed in our region. I am happy to be part of it.
— Goran Marković
I am grateful and happy to have been part of this project. It was a productive, meaningful experience with a lot of love for the art of filmmaking.
— Milica Janevski
I would like to commend the entire Slano Film Days team for implementing this concept in the best possible way. The satisfaction of the festival guests and participants as well as the residents and visitors of Slano is the best indicator that we are on the right path and that we have already established this wonderful place as a new meeting center for filmmakers and film enthusiasts.
— Miro Purivatra, founder of Slano Film Days
