Bruno Anković

Director

Bruno Anković is a Croatian director, born in 1976 in Split. He graduated in Film and TV Editing from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb.

He directs both feature and documentary films and has made over 1,500 commissioned films and commercials for the European and Asian markets. In his work, he strives to blur the lines between real life and advertising, as he is keenly aware of his social environment and the issues within the region.

His debut feature film, CELEBRATION (2024), premiered in the main Crystal Globe competition at Karlovy Vary, and was later screened at numerous international film festivals. The film won the Grand Golden Arena for Best Film and three Golden Arenas for Best Lead Actor, Best Screenplay, and Cinematography at the Pula Film Festival.

He has received numerous awards and recognitions. He is a member of the Croatian Film Directors’ Guild and the Croatian Association of Film Authors and Producers.
