Daniel Brühl is an award-winning German-Spanish actor, producer, and director. His international breakthrough came with Wolfgang Becker’s GOOD BYE, LENIN! (2003), followed by roles in Quentin Tarantino’s INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS (2009), Ron Howard’s RUSH (2013), which earned him a Golden Globe nomination in 2014, THE FIFTH ESTATE, and CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. Daniel played the lead in the TNT’s series THE ALIENIST, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination in 2019. He returned to Marvel in the series THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER (2021).
Through his company Amusement Park, he produced Edward Berger’s ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT (2022), winner of 4 Oscars, 7 BAFTAs, and 9 LOLAs. He produced and directed NEXT DOOR (2021), and he also produced and starred in Julie Delpy’s MY ZOE (2019).
Daniel’s recent work includes Lone Schering’s THE MOVIE TELLER, Stefano Mordini’s RACE FOR GLORY, the French Disney+ series BECOMING KARL LAGERFELD, Kwame Kwei-Armah’s THE COLLABORATION, Ron Howard’s EDEN, and Sam Mendes’ series THE FRANCHISE.
In Ruben Östlund’s upcoming film THE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM IS DOWN (2025) Daniel stars alongside Kirsten Dunst.
