Gregor Božič
Director
Gregor Božič is a Slovenian director, screenwriter, and cinematographer, born in 1984. He studied film directing, cinematography, and contemporary art at the AGRFT in Ljubljana, DFFB in Berlin, and Le Fresnoy in Tourcoing, France.
His films have been screened and awarded at major festivals, including Cannes, Toronto, Locarno, Rotterdam, New York, etc. His debut feature film , STORIES FROM THE CHESTNUT WOODS (2019), coauthored with Marina Gumzi, premiered at TIFF in 2019. As a director of photography, he has collaborated with Nebojša Slijepčević (THE MAN WHO COULD NOT REMAIN SILENT, Palme d'Or winner in 2024), Matjaž Ivanišin (PLAYING MEN 2017 and OROSLAN 2019), and Igor Bezinović (FIUME O MORTE! 2025).
