Alfonso Cuarón

Alfonso Cuarón is a Golden Lion and a five-time Academy Award®-winner who has written and directed a wide range of acclaimed films. Three of these wins were for Netflix’s ROMA, and the other two were for his direction and editing of Warner Bros.’ GRAVITY, which he also co-wrote with his son Jonás.

Cuarón’s other credits include CHILDREN OF MEN, Y TU MAMÁ TAMBIÉN, HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN, GREAT EXPECTATIONS and A LITTLE PRINCESS. Cuarón made his feature film directorial debut in 1991 with SÓLO CON TU PAREJA (LOVE IN THE TIME OF HYSTERIA).

Cuarón’s Esperanto Filmoj is currently gearing up to release DISCLAIMER for Apple TV+. The series, executive produced by Gabriela Rodriguez and adapted for the screen, directed by and executive produced by Cuarón, stars Academy Award®-winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, Academy Award®-nominees Sacha Baron Cohen, Kodi Smith-McPhee, and Lesley Manville, recent SAG Award®-winner, HoYeon, Leila George and Louis Partridge. The series is slated to launch in 2024.

As a producer, Cuaron has been involved in multiple films including Alice Rohrwacher's Academy Award®-nominated short-film LE PUPILLE. This nomination made Cuarón the second person to be recognized in seven different Oscar categories.
