Ena Sendijarević

Director

Ena Sendijarević is a director from Bosnia and Herzegovina born in 1987 in Odžak. She grew up in the Netherlands. She studied Film Theory at the University of Amsterdam and the Free University of Berlin and graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy. She wrote and directed the award-winning short films TRAVELERS IN THE NIGHT (2013) and FERNWEH (2014). Her short film IMPORT (2016) premiered at the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs in Cannes and was selected as the Dutch entry for the Live Action Short Film category at the 2017 Academy Awards. Her debut feature TAKE ME SOMEWHERE NICE (2019) won the Special Jury Award in the Tiger Competition at the IFFR for outstanding artistic achievement, and the Heart of Sarajevo for the best feature film at the 25th SFF. Ena is currently working on her second feature, SWEET DREAMS.
