Maggie Gyllenhaal is an Oscar-nominated actress, writer, director, and producer. This year she released THE BRIDE!, which she wrote, directed, and produced. Her directorial debut THE LOST DAUGHTER (2021), for which she wrote the screenplay, earned three Oscar nominations and won three Independent Spirit Awards, four Gotham Awards, the Golden Osella at Venice, a DGA Award, and a NYFCC  Award, among many others. As an actress, she received acclaim for SECRETARY (2002) and SHERRYBABY (2006), both earning her Golden Globe nominations, and CRAZY HEART (2009), which earned her an Oscar nomination. Other notable film performances include DONNIE DARKO (2001), MONA LISA SMILE (2003), STRANGER THAN FICTION (2006), THE DARK KNIGHT (2008), NANNY MCPHEE RETURNS (2010), FRANK (2014) and THE KINDERGARTEN TEACHER (2018).  She won a Golden Globe for the series THE HONORABLE WOMAN (2014). She starred in and produced THE DEUCE, earning Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award nominations.
