Peter Spears

Peter Spears is an Oscar-winning producer of NOMADLAND, which won Academy Awards for director Chloé Zhao and actor Frances McDormand, alongside the Golden Globe, BAFTA, PGA, Critics Choice Award, Independent Spirit Award and Venice Golden Lion for Best Picture. Spears also produced Luca Guadagnino’s CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, earning an Oscar nomination in 2017, while James Ivory won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. He later reunited with Guadagnino and Timothée Chalamet on BONES AND ALL, winner of Venice’s Silver Lion. His recent productions include Anthony Chen’s DRIFT, starring Cynthia Erivo and Alia Shawkat, which premiered at Sundance in 2023, Guadagnino’s QUEER, starring Daniel Craig, and Daniel Minahan’s ON SWIFT HORSES, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Jacob Elordi and Diego Calva, which premiered at TIFF. Spears is currently in preproduction of Ocean Vuong’s ON EARTH WE ARE BRIEFLY GORGEOUS.
