Rozafa Celai

ROZAFA CELAJ is a Kosovar actress and director born in 1995. She completed seven years of music school, where she studied the violin, piano, guitar and singing. She later graduated from the Department of TV and Film Directing at the Faculty of Arts of Prishtina University. She was the lead actress in “Fence”, winner of Best Short Film under 15 minutes at the Palm Springs International Festival of Short Film in 2018. Rozafa starred in the feature film “Aga’s House”, which premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2019. As a supporting actress, she played in “Looking for Venera”, a feature film which premiered at the “International Film Festival Rotterdam” in 2021, and appeared in “Zana”, a feature film which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. She was awarded Best Actress in her lead in “Aga’s House” at Tetova International Film Festival ODA 2019, Bosphorus Film Festival, Cottbus Film Festival and Aswan International Women Film Festival. Rozafa played in the major production of HBO Nordic and Paradox, in the full season of “Welcome to Utmark”, a series directed by Dagur Kári, which premiered in 2021.
