Urša Menart

Director

Urša Menart is a Slovenian director and screenwriter born in 1985 in Ljubljana. She graduated in film and TV directing from the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film, and Television at the University of Ljubljana. She collaborated on the screenplay for Damjan Kozole’s film NIGHTLIFE (2016), which won the Best Director Award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. She also collaborated on the screenplay for the film HALFSISTER (2019), which premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Her debut feature film MY LAST YEAR AS A LOSER (2018) won the Vesna award for the best film and best screenplay at the Slovenian Film Festival. Currently she is working on her feature film EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH YOU. She is a voting member of the European Film Academy.
