Milena Bečanović
Cinematographer
Milena Bečanović is a Montenegrin cinematographer born in 1995 in Kazan, Russia. Her path to cinematography began with classical art and later shifted toward photography. She studied cinematography in Moscow at VGIK, and during her studies, she worked as a 1st AC and camera operator on large productions, including BATYA and LEGENDA. Her graduation film THE RAILROAD (2021) won several international awards, including one for cinematography. After her studies, she moved to Montenegro and Serbia, where she worked as a camera operator on the TV series THE FALL and UNDERNEATH. As Director of Photography, she shot the short sci-fi film SATKANI, the TV program MASCULINE-FEMININE, several music videos, and the short film LA TEMPÊTE in Paris. LA TEMPÊTE is currently in post-production, and she is working on a new short experimental project. Her focus lies in expressive storytelling and the emotional rhythm of the image.
