Cinematographer

MAGDALENA PTIČEK – is a Croatian cinematographer born in 1994 in Varaždin. She graduated in 2020 from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, Department of Film and Digital Recording. Already as a student, she collaborated with her colleagues, film directors, in the filmmaking courses. The short documentary “Home for Christmas” (2018), with her as a cinematographer, won the Golden Mimosa Award for the best student film at the Montenegro Film Festival. She was in charge of colour correction in the documentary “Factories for Workers”. The film was awarded at the Liburnia Film Festival, as well as in Motovun and Trieste. The short film “Now I Am Irena”, directed by Jasmina Beširević, and Magdalena Ptiček behind the camera, was shown at Zagreb Dox.
