Family Film Weekend

Family Film Weekend at Villa Riva

As previously announced, leading up to the start of Slano Film Days 2025, a Family Film Weekend is being held in Slano, organised by the Municipality of Slano and the Slano Tourist Board, aimed at film lovers of all ages.

Free screenings of two excellent film titles are taking place at the open-air cinema at Villa Riva.

Yesterday, on Saturday, the film HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, directed by Dean DeBlois, was shown. The story follows an unusual friendship between the curious young Viking Hiccup and the dragon Toothless on the rocky island of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations.

Tonight, on Sunday, the screening of HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE, directed by Taika Waititi, will take place. When his foster aunt suddenly passes away, Ricky is left alone with the grumpy Hec. The pair end up on the run through the vast New Zealand wilderness. Relying on each other to survive, they develop an unexpected bond.

The screenings begin at 9:30 PM.
