Special Guests at Slano Film Days 2025
The special guests of this year’s edition of Slano Film Days will share their experiences and insights with young film professionals from Croatia and the region through open one-on-one conversations.
A Serbian director, best known for his acclaimed documentary DEPTH TWO, which premiered at Berlinale. His debut feature THE LOAD was screened at Cannes in the Directors’ Fortnight section.
A Turkish director whose film BUTTERFLIES won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance. His latest work, PSYCHO THERAPY: THE SHALLOW TALE OF A WRITER WHO DECIDED TO WRITE ABOUT A SERIAL KILLER , received the Audience Award at Tribeca.
A Slovenian director known for award-winning films such as SPARE PARTS, LABOUR EQUALS FREEDOM, SLOVENIAN GIRL, and NIGHTLIFE. He recently directed the documentary hybrid PERO and the short film ACTOR.
A Bosnian-Herzegovinian director, winner of the Oscar for NO MAN’S LAND. His most recent films include NOT SO FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD AFFAIR and AFTER THE SUMMER.
A Finnish cinematographer, known for his work with Juho Kuosmanen on THE HAPPIEST DAY IN THE LIFE OF OLLI MÄKI and COMPARTMENT NO. 6. He has also worked on HBO’s series CHERNOBYL and THE LAST OF US, and the series ESTONIA.
A French producer with over forty films to his name, thirteen of which have competed in the official selection at Cannes. His collaborations with director Ruben Östlund include THE SQUARE and TRIANGLE OF SADNESS, both Palme d’Or winners.
A Bosnian-Herzegovinian producer who produced films by director Jasmila Žbanić, including GRBAVICA, winner of the Golden Bear at Berlinale, and QUO VADIS, AIDA?, which won three European Film Awards and was nominated for both an Oscar and BAFTA awards.
An Oscar-winning American producer of NOMADLAND. His producing credits include Luca Guadagnino’s CALL ME BY YOUR NAME and BONES AND ALL, both starring Timothée Chalamet, as well as QUEER starring Daniel Craig.
