Christian Jeune

Christian Jeune was born in 1961 in Toulon, France. He started at the Cannes Film Festival as a local intern in 1983 while pursuing his studies, then joined the Paris office in 1995 in the Film Department. Since 1999, he is the Director of the Film Department, and in 2003 he became Deputy to the General Delegate Thierry Fremaux. His position implies he takes care of the selection process, in connection with the different players. He has been travelling for the last 20 years mainly in Asia to scout films and visiting different players in the world industry. He has served as jury member in many festivals (Busan, Tokyo, Adelaide, Taipei, Bangkok, Macao…). He has also translated over 100 films from English to French, including three films of the Bourne series, the three Kingsman films, and many more.
