DUBRAVKA TURIĆ is a Croatian director, screenwriter and editor born in 1973. She graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art at Zagreb University, Croatia. “Belladonna”, her first short film, won the Orizzonti Award for Best Short Film at the Venice Film Festival in 2015. The film was also in the official selection at Sundance, Rotterdam and many other festivals. Her second short, “Cherries”, premiered at Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes in 2017, after which it toured festivals around the world. “Tina”, her third short, is still in festival distribution after its regional premiere at the 2019 Sarajevo Film Festival. Dubravka is currently working on her first feature, titled “Traces”, which is now in the postproduction phase. “Rhino”, her second feature project, is still in the early stage, with the script developed within Torino Film Lab. Dubravka has also edited more than thirty feature, animated and experimental films, and worked as a screenwriter on many projects.
