Director

TAMARA KOTEVSKA is a North Macedonian film director born in Prilep in 1993. In 2000 she moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she studied documentary filmmaking. In 2016, she graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje. In her work, she combines fiction, animation and documentary films. Following the two globally-awarded creative documentaries, “Students” and “Lake of Apples”, she created a documentary about a Macedonian beekeeper, “Honeyland”, a result of an inspired collaboration with director Ljubo Stefanov. The film delighted critics and audiences alike and earned her an Oscar nomination in 2020. In her new emerging feature film, “Man vs. Flock”, she explores the conflict between the old-fashioned and the progressive world.
