GAME OF THRONES Star Liam Cunningham Joins Us in Slano

Irish actor Liam Cunningham, best known for portraying Davos Seaworth in HBO’s GAME OF THRONES, joins us in Slano for the first time at this year’s edition. In recent years, Cunningham has also been widely recognized for his role in Netflix’s 3 Body Problem, which reached the Top 10 in 93 countries.

Over the years, Cunningham has built an impressive career with memorable roles in films such as 24 HOURS TO LIVE, WAR HORSE, SAFE HOUSE, CLASH OF THE TITANS, and THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY, among many others. His performance in Steve McQueen’s acclaimed HUNGER, particularly the film’s renowned 17-minute single-take dialogue scene opposite Michael Fassbender, remains one of the most remarkable acting achievements in modern cinema.

Cunningham has received numerous award nominations, including the London Film Critics’ Circle Awards, the British Independent Film Awards, and the Irish Film and Television Awards, and won a BAFTA Award with Michael Fassbender for the short film PITCH BLACK HEIST.

At Slano Film Days, Liam Cunningham will take part in the Film Talks program for regional directors and actors. His Film Talk will be moderated by acclaimed director and screenwriter Jasmila Žbanić.
